Check Out This Massive Collection Of MAN OF STEEL Posters, Trailers, TV Spots, And Behind-The-Scenes Featurettes
With less than two weeks to go before Zach Snyder’s MAN OF STEEL soars into theaters, Warner Bros has cranked the marketing machine into high gear. After the jump you’ll find a wicked cool collection of promo material (My initial worry this flick would be a beautiful bore like SUPERMAN RETURNS has thankfully been quelled) consisting of three Abrams-esque character posters (So many lens flares! MY EYES!!), twelve TV spots (!), two theatrical trailers, six behind-the-scenes featurettes, and a 17 minute preview of Han Zimmer’s score.

New CAPTAIN AMERICA 2 Set Pics Offer 1st Look At Falcon And The Winter Soldier
Superhero Hype has posted the first pics of Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, aka The Falcon, in CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER and while it’s nice to see directors Joe and Anthony Russo are using green screen (the first Cap flick was jam-packed with CG) and the MAKEOVER-MATIC 3000 (a funky red and white disco jumpsuit just wouldn’t fly, no pun intended, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe), I’m not sure why they traded the character’s trademark detachable jet-powered glider wings for a parachute. Wings are so much more badass than a parachute.

[SPOILER ALERT!] Details About Coulson’s AGENTS OF SHIELD Resurrection Emerge
Slashfilm has uncovered how Clark Gregg will be reprising his role as Agent Phil Coulson, who died in THE AVENGERS, in upcoming ABC TV series AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Unfortunately for fans, Coulson’s resurrection doesn’t involve him becoming The Vision (a popular theory) or having a L.M.D (Life Model Decoy) but rather …well, click the pic to find out how…

New KICK-ASS 2 Set Pics Reveal Colonel Stars, Night Bitch, Doctor Gravity, And Mother Russia
GeekTyrant and Newscom have scored a slew of behind-the-scenes photos from Jeff Wadlow’s KICK-ASS 2: BALLS TO THE WALL. After the jump you’ll find your first semi-clear (some of the pics, namely the ones from Newscom, are marred with giant-ass watermarks) look at returning characters Dave Lizewski / Kick-Ass (Aaron Johnson), Mindy Macready / Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz), Chris D’Amico / Red Mist / The Motherf*cker (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), Marty / Battle Guy (Clark Duke), and newcomers Colonel Stars (Jim Carrey), Night Bitch (Lindy Booth), Mother Russia (Olga Kurkulina), Doctor Gravity (Donald Faison), and Insect Man (Robert Emms).
Please try not to geek out too hardcore at how awesome everyone looks (I’m honestly blown away at how comic perfect Carrey’s Colonel and Faison’s Gravity are) and cringe uncontrollably at the sight of 15-year-old Moretz planting a big on 24-year-old Johnson (a moment, if I’m remembering correctly, wasn’t in either of the KICK-ASS comic runs or the HIT-GIRL mini-series).

New IRON MAN 3 Spoilers Reveal Film’s Finale And Details About The New Armor
Latino Review has scored a MASSIVE SPOILER-Y RUMOR about the Mark VII Iron Man armor shown off at this year’s SDCC. Turn away now if you don’t want some SERIOUS spoilers about the finale of Shane Black’s IRON MAN 3.
It turns out Tony Stark’s new armor is not really the Mark VII …it’s the Mark XLVII. As in, the Mark 47. As in, Tony has built 40 (!) new armors between the events of THE AVENGERS and IRON MAN 3. As in, I’m about to tell you, using a giant cut-and-paste info dump from LR, where those 40 armors ended up. Okay, the “as in” didn’t really work with that last sentence as well as I’d hoped but you get what I’m getting at. SPOILERS. Click on the pic to check them out…
Universal Developing SAFE HOUSE 2
THR has discovered Universal is working on a sequel to the surprise spring hit SAFE HOUSE. David Guggenheim, who wrote the original film while working as an editor at Us Weekly, has been asked back to pen the sequel script.
For those who missed it, SAFE HOUSE starred Denzel Washington as Tobin Frost, a dangerous renegade CIA agent, who resurfaces on the grid after a decade on the run. When the South African safe house he’s remanded to is attacked by mercenaries, a rookie operative (Ryan Reynolds) escapes with him. Together, the unlikely allies have to stay alive long enough to find out who wants them dead.

Deleted Scene From THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Sheds Light On Bane’s Origin
During a recent interview with GQ, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES costume designer Lindy Hemming revealed some juicy info about some deleted scenes that would’ve painted Tom Hardy’s Bane as a sympathetic character. That’s right, the dude who spent most of the runtime of TDKR snapping necks and threatening to annihilate millions with a neutron bomb was meant to be someone the audience felt sorry for.

Sequel Bites: BILL AND TED 3, JACK RYAN, THE X-FILES 3, And THE WORLD’S END
Well, well, well, it appears the long-rumored third BILL AND TED film has officially jumped from rumor to reality. Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter have signed on to return as Ted Theodore Logan and Bill S. Preston, Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson (the writing team behind BILL AND TED’S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE and BILL AND TED’S BOGUS JOURNEY) are penning the script, GALAXY QUEST helmer Dean Parisot is directing, and, most importantly of all, the new installment will be a true blue sequel and NOT a reboot. Excellent!
Per Vulture: Unlike so many recent studio remakes, which have simply recycled old material for a new generation, Solomon and Matheson took the unusual step of writing their third Bill & Ted script on spec in an attempt to ensure a take that would address where Mssrs. Ted Theodore Logan and Bill S. Preston, Esq. are in their lives today as opposed to being a reboot or remake. Insiders tell Vulture the hope is to make a mid-priced studio comedy like Hot Tub Time-Machine.

The Novelization Of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Reveals The Fate Of The Joker
Christopher Nolan wasn’t lying when he said he wouldn’t include Heath Ledger’s Joker in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. There’s no posthumous appearance via stock footage or CGI (both of which were rumored), no voice cameo (they could’ve easily snuck Ledger’s voice into one of the many flashbacks), no brief glimpse during when the prisoners escape Blackgate Prison (maybe seen conspiring with Tim Booth’s serial killer Zsasz who was also MIA), no nothing. Hell, he’s not even mentioned in passing or even hinted at. Harvey Dent is name-checked over a dozen times. The Joker? Not once.
But not to worry, Bat-fans! The film’s novelization contains a brief mention of The Joker and his whereabouts following the events of THE DARK KNIGHT. No one seems to be totally sure if what’s after the jump was actually ever in Nolan’s script (doubtful) or if it was made up on the fly by author Greg Cox (likely) but it’s pretty cool that fans have an answer as to what happened to the Clown Prince Of Crime.
