Lindsay Lohan confuses me.
In the weeks leading up to her brief incarceration and then her admission to rehab, Lohan (in all the paparazzi shots) looked like a cracked-out shell of a girl. I honestly couldn’t believe that this was the same hottie that once got male engines running with flicks like MEAN GIRLS and HERBIE: FULLY LOADED (laugh all you want at that one, but she was so busty in that flick that Disney had to actually digitally bring her down a couple of cup sizes). In other words, another celeb gone down the toilet.

Tons of Marvel announcements last weekend, so I’m going to bullet point all the major ones and there will be links at the end if you want to read all the fine details about each. Facts are, all of these bit of info can easily be summed up in a few lines, so why bother will all the filler? Let’s just cut to the chase and deliver the good stuff.

Lindsay Lohan went to jail today.
Not direct-to-video jail (already there) or banished to television jail (oh wait, she’s there too!), but actual jail. I won’t go into massive details here, but her 90 day stint in the LA County lockup (I wonder if she’ll be the Linda Blair character in this update of CHAINED HEAT? Cue the vicious lesbo warden!) stems from a convoluted series of events that includes (according to Celebslam) missing multiple court-ordered classes, showing up late to court multiple times, blowing off a court hearing so she could get high in Europe, violating a court order by drinking alcohol, committing multiple felony thefts, having two warrants issued for her arrest, and basically telling the judge to fuck off. In other words, she was framed!

Facts are, I have no idea (nor does source Unreality) who this gal is. This is just some cosplay pic of a gal who happens to look like Zooey Deschanel dressed like Chell from PORTAL. And since the chances are pretty strong that we’ll never see a PORTAL movie (much less one starring someone as awesome as Deschanel), I’m reposting this pic simply because it’s a nice little geek dream. It boggles my mind that Sofia Vergara is stuck doing television and not making films. Oh sure, she’s got THE SMURFS coming out next summer, but that barely classifies as a film in my book (though the mere thought of her in 3D causes nervous giggling and cold sweats). Where’s her starring roles? This gal could easily be the next Salma Hayek or Penelope Cruz if Hollywood gave her a chance.

I’m not sure who thought it was a good idea to market the CONAN reboot using an upskirt shot of everyone’s favorite barbarian, but here it is. Good job Lionsgate, you’ve managed to somehow make your already unappealing CONAN flick even more unappealing.

The trailer for THE 3RD BIRTHDAY has hit (found this over at Bloody Disgusting) and it looks pretty great. If you’re unfamiliar with that title, then let me refer to BIRTHDAY by it’s unofficial title, PARASITE EVE 3. And if you’re unfamiliar with PARASITE EVE, well, there’s not much else I have to say to you other than “Good job missing out on one of the best horror games ever”. Chock this one under old news that’s new to me, but some Twi-Hard actually wrote Universal claiming that the recent remake of THE WOLFMAN was a rip-off of NEW MOON. Let that process for a moment. Somebody actually accused Universal of ripping off NEW MOON with a remake of THE WOLFMAN.
