We’re Experiencing Technical Difficulties
The site is going to be down for the next week or so. Been working on a couple of non-site related projects and trying to iron out some of the technical problems I’ve been running into recently. Apologies for the delay. Things should be back to normal shortly.
Memos From The Desk Of Nick Fury
“Memos From Fury” is a new(ish) Tumblr account that unveils the hilarious memos from S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury to Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, Thor, and the rest of The Avengers. I’ve included some of my personal favorites (love the “Don’t call me Nick Furry” one) after the jump. Click on the pic to check them out…
Pop-Pourri: SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS Was Inspired By The Seven Deadly Sins?!?
Fun Fact: The seven main characters on SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS were inspired by the seven deadly sins. No joke. If you don’t believe me, then scope out this theory from user “Ilsa” over at Omg-Facts. What you’re about to read is some seriously wild sh*t. Gives the show a whole new slant.

Pop-Pourri: Were The Aliens In M. Night Shyamalan’s SIGNS Actually Demons?
M. Night Shyamalan’s SIGNS is a modern classic. Even if you don’t dig Shyamalan as a director, Mel Gibson as an actor, Joaquin Phoenix’s freaky lip, or the fact the little plot quirks (the water, the baseball bat, the dead wife) oh-so-conveniently reveal the weakness of the creature, there is no denying the film itself is an amazing piece of work. If you deny it, you are wrong. Wrong, wrong, WRONG!
Oops. Sorry about that. I tend to get a little hopped up whenever Shyamalan’s name is invoked. I love most of his films (UNBREAKABLE, THE SIXTH SENSE, SIGNS), possess the ability to tolerate the okay ones (THE VILLAGE, THE LAST AIRBENDER), and am forever cursed with the uncontrollable need to defend even his clunkers (THE HAPPENING, THE LADY IN THE WATER).
Anyways, Reddit user “ZorroMeansFox” posted a pretty interesting theory about SIGNS positing the idea maybe the aliens weren’t aliens at all but were actually demons. It’s a pretty cool read. Click on the pic to check it out…
Ron Perlman Resurrects HELLBOY For The Make-A-Wish Foundation
So yeah …Ron Perlman is f*cking awesome. Not that you didn’t already know that. Any fanboy or girl worth their salt should hear that man’s name and immediately name-check CRONOS, BLADE II, DRIVE, SONS OF ANARCHY, and both of the HELLBOY movies. Uber-fanboys and girls might throw THE ICE PIRATES, DESPERATION, THE LAST SUPPER, and the 80s television series BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. People seeking a punch to the jaw can feel free to mention POLICE ACADEMY 7: MISSION TO MOSCOW. But his awesomeness rating, which was already at an all time high thanks to his filmography and reputation as a all-around cool guy, went through the roof recently when he reprised his role as Hellboy for the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Sign Of The Apocalypse: Here’s A Pic Of 493 Pokemon Drawn As Sexy Anime Girls
The pic after the jump is staggeringly geeky. Not a huge POKEMON fan myself but I’ll certainly give props to any artist who decides to reinterpret 493 of them into sexy anime girls. That’s nuts. That’s crazy. That’s kinda awesome and worth posting. Click on the pic to check it out….
New HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET Pics Showcase Sexy Jennifer Lawrence
FilmNation has released ten new pics from the upcoming Jennifer Lawrence thriller HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET. Considering I’m a little indifferent towards this flick (chronicled HERE and HERE) and the fact I was just looking for a valid excuse to post pics of Lawrence (especially since a big scary cease-and-desist order forced me to remove all those Esquire outtakes of Lawrence I posted awhile back), I’m just drop these here and call it a day.

Six New Stills From Quentin Tarantino’s DJANGO UNCHAINED Ride Into Town
Six new pics for DJANGO UNCHAINED, Quentin Tarantino’s homage to spaghetti Westerns hitting theaters on December 25, have appeared online and confirmed that, yes, it still looks like WILD WILD WEST. Not the original Robert Conrad version but the Will Smith one. The giant robo-spider one. You know what I’m talking about. Don’t pretend like you don’t.
And while I’m totally looking forward to this and have complete faith that QT will deliver the goods, I can’t help but feel like DJANGO UNCHAINED is going to end up being a mild, if not severe, box office disappointment. Modern audiences don’t really dig traditional, spaghetti, or mash-up westerns anymore. It’s a dead genre at the multiplex.

New TAKEN 2 Images Reveal Liam Neeson Loves Fire, Trains, And Snapping Necks
EW has released three new pics from Olivier Megaton’s TAKEN 2 and, wouldn’t you know it, they’re of Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) snapping necks and kicking ass. I’m not complaining but I thought the sequel was supposed to be about Bryan’s daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) having to rescue him and his wife from Albanian kidnappers. This looks like more of the same and …well, I’m cool with that. Matter of fact, I’d prefer it that way. I’m pretty sure you would too.
