THE GREEN HORNET Stings Korea With A Quartet Of Character Posters
THE GREEN HORNET. I’m still pretty on the fence as to whether or not this is going to be a great movie or an out-and-out debacle. On one hand, the early word-of-mouth is surprisingly positive and the trailers seem to have an inkling of promise in them. On the other, stars Seth Rogen and Jay Chou are shilling for Hardees in character. And do I really need to mention the biggest question mark of them all, the mere idea that audiences are supposed to buy the guy from KNOCKED UP and PINEAPPLE EXPRESS as a superhero?
I could back and forth on this all day. For every positive about this flick (Michel Gondry at the helm, Hans Landa…er, I mean, Christoph Waltz as the main baddie, amazing source material) there seems to be an equal amount of negatives (post-converted into 3D, Cameron Diaz as window dressing, Columbia's firing of Stephen Chow as writer/director/Kato, Seth Rogen as a f**king superhero). Rather than doing that, I’m just going to drop these Korean teaser posters on you and call it a day. Okay?
THE GREEN HORNET hits theaters January 14th.
