Is Marvel Planning A Secret Reveal Of The Big AVENGERS Baddie Post-Credits Of CAPTAIN AMERICA And THOR?

It’s been rumored for quite some time that the Skrulls (a race of super-powered alien beings) would be the villains of THE AVENGERS or that even Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) might be. The good money seemed to be on the Skrulls due to some statements made my Marvel head Kevin Fiege last year, but the tides seem to have shifted thanks to some clever scooping.

According to Latino Review, Marvel is busy prepping two teaser trailers for THE AVENGERS that will be attached to the end of CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER and THOR. Word has it that Tom Hiddleston (who plays Loki in THOR) will be featured in both and that they both will reveal that he will be the big bad in the AVENGERS pic!

But wait, there’s more!

LR goes on to say that Loki needs some serious muscle to go up against "The Avengers" and he does this by using the cosmic cube seen in "Captain America: The First Avenger" and also seen in the screen capture I took of the "Thor" Comic-Con trailer. Loki uses the cube to get a hold of the Aliens (aka The Skrulls) to invade Earth and fight "The Avengers." Skrulls are green-skinned reptilian humanoids with large pointed ears, red or green eyes, and corrugated chins.

Holy hell. Marvel wasn’t lying when they said that they’d be tying all their feature films together into one cohesive film-verse. What’s even cooler about this news is that it doesn’t really dispute the “Hulk gone bad” rumors. Loki could just as easily control the big lug along with the Skrulls. That’d make a triple threat for the Avengers to deal with.

I just hope writer/director Joss Whedon can pull all this together. As awesome as these developments sound, he has quite the daunting task ahead of him. He has to take Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Captain America (Chris Evans), The Hulk (Ruffalo), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson), Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg), S.H.I.E.L.D and potentially Loki (Hiddleston) and The Skrulls and whip together a cohesive story that somehow fits into a two and a half hour timeslot.

This is either going to rock the pillars of Heaven or be a massive train wreck. Either way, it’ll be epic. Epically epic. Epically epic epic-ness. A scale of epic-ness previously unknown to man. Supremely epic. You get what I’m saying.
