Sequel Bits: Screenwriter Max Landis On Board CHRONICLE 2, Parmount Confirms MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 5

Deadline is reporting that Fox has tapped Max Landis to pen a sequel to his surprise hit CHRONICLE. No other info is available at the moment but one can safely assume that director Josh Trank won’t be returning since Sony just snapped him up to helm their SPIDER-MAN spin-off VENOM. Guess Fox waited just a touch too long to announce this, eh?

Since this story is extra short and lacking substance, I’m going to go ahead and throw toss the news that Paramount CEO Phillipe Dauman confirmed a sequel to MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - GHOST PROTOCOL is in the works to pad things out. There’s no info outside of the announcement available for this one either but one has to assume the film will feature Tom Cruise running, Tom Cruise yelling at inanimate objects and Tom Cruise doing a batshit crazy stunt in order to procure vital information of some kind.
