New KICK-ASS 2 Plot Details Reveal Mean Girls, Revealed Identities, And REVENGE!

Moviehole has scored some new character and plot details about director Jeff Wadlow’s KICK-ASS 2: BALLS TO THE WALL. Check out the info below and be sure to swing back around at the end for a little bit of pointless commentary from myself.

Per Moviehole: All the core cast members are back, Aaron Johnson, Chloe Mortez and Christopher Mintz-Plasse, plus I can reveal that negotiations are also underway for Garrett M.Brown (“Roswell”) to reprise his role as Dave’s dad. He’ll have more to do this time around. Auditions are also about to get underway for Uncle Ralph, the crook guardian of Chris/Red Mist. Expect that to be filled by someone of a Mark Strong-esque statue.

Story-wise, as if ripped from the pages of the “Spider-Man 2″ and “Superman 2″ scripts, the movie ventures into ‘someone’s discovered the hero’s identity’ territory with both Dave and Mindy being find out. It adds an exciting, and somewhat amusing twist to proceedings.

Dave’s identity as ‘Kick-Ass’ is only really revealed to the one extra person, but it’s someone important. And it has repercussions. Hit-Girl’s identity is also widely known by this point – and it evokes much nasty yabbering behind Mindy’s back by her schoolmates (she’s nicknamed “Captain Muffin-Muncher”). The worst of the mean girls, Brooke, is your typical prissy jock-marrying wannabe who controls the thoughts and feelings of her teenage followers and disciples (including innocent young Lois, whom ultimately forms a bond with Mindy). But ‘Hit-Girl’, never one to shy away from a confrontation and seemingly always equipped with the perfect weapon of self defense, gets Brooke and her bitch gang back in… let’s say, rather spectacular fashion. It involves gadgetry, projectile vomiting and much begging. There will be so much cheering in the cinema!

Whoa. This is definitely a change-up from the KICK-ASS 2 comic. Uncle Ralph is a new character, as is Lois and the group of mean girls who menace Hit-Girl/Mindy. Hit-Girl’s identity revealed stuff is definitely new. Dave’s dad being a larger presence is about the only thing listed (click HERE to scope out the other details) that actually jives with the comic.

This could be the added material Mark Millar said he’d be integrating into the film from the upcoming HIT-GIRL mini-series …or it could just be changes being made to make the X-rated hardcore violent comic more palatable to the masses. Could go either way.

My guess is changes. Been saying since the beginning there was no way Universal would green-light a movie featuring McLovin’ mowing down a group of children with an Uzi and then ordering his cronies to gang-rape the hero’s girlfriend. Yeah. That’s not going to happen.

Still excited to see this flick though. The changes made from comic-to-screen with the first film actually made it better so the same might occur here if the info above is legit.

USELESS KNOWLEDGE: “Red Mist" is a term that has been used to refer to a bomb-disposal person who gets blown up by the bomb they were trying to defuse.
