Warner And MGM Reveal Massive New Banner for Peter Jackson’s THE HOBBIT
The San Diego Comic-Con has produced a double of dose of HOBBIT-y goodness. The poster above (which may have first appeared on IGN but I could be wrong) is a Comic-Con teaser poster for Peter Jackson’s THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY. Very cool …but definitely not as cool as the massive EW-exclusive banner you’ll find below. You have to click on it to see it full sized and even then you’ll have to do a little bit of scrolling to check out all the little nooks and crannies but I guarantee when you do start scanning it your inner-fanboy is going to freak the f*ck out. No joke. There’s so much geeky goodness crammed into the banner below that I honestly just considered dropping and calling a full stop to all HOBBIT-related posts. I doubt highly any future bit of promotional material is going to be as cool as this banner.
USELESS KNOWLEDGE: New Bilbo Baggins Martin Freeman previously appeared in HOT FUZZ, which featured cameos by director Peter Jackson as "Santa Claus," Cate Blanchett (Galadriel) as a CSI, and Bill Nighy (who played Sam Gamgee on BBC Radio) as a police officer. He also appeared in SHAUN OF THE DEAD, also opposite Nighy, as well as Penelope Wilton, who had been married to the previous Bilbo, Ian Holm.
