SDCC 2012: Thomas Jane Returns As The Punisher In NSFW Short “Dirty Laundry”
During a Comic-Con panel for RAW Studios (the comic imprint he formed with artist Tim Bradstreet), Jane premiered a Punisher fan film titled “Dirty Laundry” he created with the help of actor Ron Perlman (HELLBOY), director Phil Joanou (STATE OF GRACE), writer Chad St. John (MOTOR CITY), and producer Adi Shankar (DREDD 3D).
Here’s what Jane had to say about the short: "I wanted to make a fan film for a character I've always loved and believed in - a love letter to Frank Castle & his fans. It was an incredible experience with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the fun of it. It's been a blast to be a part of from start to finish -- we hope the friends of Frank enjoy watching it as much as we did making it."
That’s right, the guy who headlined the worst Punisher pic (film stunk, Jane’s performance did not) just made a pitch-perfect, ultraviolent representation of the character as an apology to fans. Oh and to prove he’s still the best Frank Castle to ever grace the big screen. Fanboy, thy name is Thomas Jane.
