"Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One – Avengers Assembled" hits shelves on September 25, 2012.

Item 47” is the newest Marvel One-Shot. Twelve minutes in length and directed by Marvel exec Louis D’Esposito, it centers around a financially downtrodden couple, Benny (Jesse Bradford) and Claire (Lizzy Caplan), who discover a Chituari weapon following the events of THE AVENGERS and set off on a bank robbing spree. Maximiliano Hernández (reprising his role as “Agent Sitwell”) and Titus Welliver (the “Man In Black” from LOST) play the two S.H.I.E.L.D agents tasked to track them down.

This is quite a change up from previous Marvel One-Shots “A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Thor’s Hammer” and “The Consultant” which featured Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) mostly wrapping up loose plot threads from THE INCREDIBLE HULK and THOR. Marvel Studios says this push towards exploring new characters in the shorts will continue and might lead towards them testing lesser known heroes (Luke Cage and Iron Fist have been long rumored for the short film treatment) to gauge audience interest.
