Lady Gaga And Alexa Vega Join The Cast Of Robert Rodriguez’s MACHETE KILLS

With a cast that already includes Danny Trejo, Mel Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Zoe Saldana, Jessica Alba, Sofia Vergara, Amber Heard, Edward James Olmos, Vanessa Hudgens, Cuba Gooding Jr, twin sisters Electra and Elise Avellan, AND Charlie Sheen, one would assume there was no way the cast for MACHETE KILLS could get any more eclectic. And one would be wrong.

Director Robert Rodriguez announced yesterday via his Twitter page that pop songstress Lady Gaga has joined the cast as a character named La Chameleon. That’s right, Mother Monster just joined the MACHETE sequel. How f*cking crazy is that? That’s so crazy it makes the casting of Sheen as the President Of The United States seem positively normal by comparison.

Here’s Rodriguez’s aforementioned “tweet” along with the shockingly sexy (I dig Gaga’s music but have never been a fan of her persona or look) character poster that accompanied it:

A little less crazy than the Gaga news was the quiet announcement Alexa Vega, best known for her work in Rodriguez’s SPY KIDS films, has signed on to play an assassin named Killjoy who works for Madame Desdemona (Sofia Vergara). Vega posted a pic of herself in character over on her official Instagram account. Do your best not to drool all over your keyboard when you see little Carmen Cortez has blossomed into a 23-year-old uber-hottie.
