2016: Year In Film (AKA The Adamantium Bullet Favorite & Least Favorite Films Of 2016 Podcast)

Welcome to Adamantium Bullet’s look back at the year 2016 in film. In this podcast, J Bryant and AngieBee will reveal their favorite and least favorite films of the last year, as well as discuss their picks for the best movie moments, the underrated gems, overrated duds, disappointments, and what to look forward to in 2017.

Yes, this list is a little late, but it’s being delivered just in time for you to check out in place of the stuffy Academy Awards which is always four hours of pretty people giving each other pretty statues for movies, short films, and documentaries you're likely never going to get around to watching. Don’t even pretend like you went and saw MOONLIGHT, LION, FENCES, or MANCHESTER BY THE SEA. All fine films ...which you did not go see. The box office numbers do not lie.

You went, like the majority of moviegoers, to go see STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE, CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM, and SUICIDE SQUAD. You probably, like we here at Adamantium Bullet do, love STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE, CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM, and SUICIDE SQUAD. There is no shame in loving these movies. They may not be critical darlings, but they entertained, thrilled, and delighted. 2016 was a rough year and that endless wave of big budget blockbusters helped audiences sail through it.

Put bluntly, this is a list for people who loved STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE, CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM, and SUICIDE SQUAD. All snobs, hipsters, whiners, and people who voted for Donald Trump feel free to clock out now.
