Review: NERVE

Industrious high school senior Vee Delmonico (Emma Roberts) is tired of living life on the sidelines. Pressured by her friends, Vee decides to join Nerve, a popular online game that challenges players to accept a series of dares. It's not long before the adrenaline-fueled competition demands she team up with mysterious stranger (Dave Franco) to perform increasingly dangerous stunts. When Nerve begins to take a sinister turn, Vee finds herself in a high-stakes finale that will ultimately determine her entire future.

> In the opening scene, Vee (Emma Roberts) is "looking at the news" on her computer. On the right side of the news page is an article on James Franco; real-life brother of co-star Dave Franco.

> Similarly to SCREAM 3, the film NERVE stars Emma Roberts, features a character named Sidney, and uses instant fame as a cautionary tale. In SCREAM 4, Emma Roberts also happened to star alongside co-star Dave Franco's fiancé Alison Brie.

> Keeping with the Apple Products theme, when Vee finds herself in the third phase of the game, she is contacted via a 1st generation iMac. The translucent body cover fits right in with the colorful environment the film has.
