And we’re back again with favorite subject: HARRY POTTER!! Yes yes, I know, I’m absolutely insane, but that’s okay! At the SDCC (San Diego Comic-Con) they were kind enough to set out some of the Horcruxes that will appear in the seventh movie. Kinda. This may be a little SPOILER-Y if you haven’t read the books, but here it is and I’ll give you the total and complete truth about these pictures.

Number One, The Time Turner

Why is this here? I’m a little baffled by the picture. The last time we saw this was in HARRY POTTER AND THE PRIZONER OF AZKABAN, or for those less versed in knowing which that is: HARRY POTTER 3. Actually the time turner was destroyed after the whole Hermione fiasco with releasing Sirius Black (*tear*), so I don’t have a clue why it is here, and it is not in the seventh movie, so don’t start thinking time travel!

Number Two, The Elder Wand

Once again, NOT a Horcrux, but I thought I’d get these out of the way first. SPOILER: The Elder Wand is actually one of the three Hallows (THE NAME OF THE MOVIE OMG!), and was Dumbly’s before he fell off the top of the Astronomy Tower because Snape Advada Kedavra’d him. It is, ultimately, what works in Harry’s favour to kill Voldy, but let’s not get too into that. The Hallows are important, but not as much as the Horcruxes. May I quote Harry: “Hallows or Horcruxes?

Number Three (or One), The Diary

Moving on to the first Horcrux we ever see (kinda) and know about. It is Tom Riddle’s diary from the CHAMBER OF SECRETS: remember Ginny going all crazy and carrying around the diary and letting Voldy’s soul basically survive because of her? Yeah, that one. The one and only, and it was destroyed in the second movie/book by Basilisk venom (hence, the giant fang in it).

Number Four (or Two), Gaunt’s Ring

This one is first seen in the sixth movie, or HALF BLOOD PRINCE, and it was found by Albus Dumbledore (also the thing that made his hand all black and icky because it was cursed). This ring is a double whammy, being as (what the sign says) it’s both a Horcrux AND a Hallow. So Harry has two Hallows, right? Well, guess what?! Go read BEETLE THE BARD, he actually has three, including the Invisibility Cloak. OH MY! Hallow list complete, Horcruxes still counting!

Number Five, aka Three, The Locket

This is the one that caused the death of Dumbly-dore in HALF BLOOD PRINCE. I mean seriously: he and Harry go through all the damn trouble to fetch this thing, only to find out that somebody else took it (RAB), and then fly back to Hogwards (aka Poudlard) to find it under attack by Death Eaters!! THEN, Dumbly dies, and all is not well in the world. Right? Yeah, that one. Anyways, they do find the real one, giving us a new reason to love Kreacher the House Elf, so no need to worry about the brat-trio!

Number Six, aka Four, The Cup

This one is being held in Gringotts by Miss Bellatrix Lestrange after Voldy stole it from Bathilda Bagshot. According to the sign, this doesn’t show up until the second movie, so I’m guessing the first part will not get a big wooshy ending with a climax and all, sorry. Anyways, there’s the Fourth found horcrux!

Number Seven, aka Five, the Diadem

Most of the time in the book people are asking “What the hell is a diadem?” Well, it’s a crown type thing, and it’s supposed to give the wearer (Rowena Ravenclaw) greater concentration and intelligence or whatever. “Wit beyond measure is man’s greatest treasure” IS the Ravenclaw motto. Ravenclaw FTW! This Horcrux is the one they (Harry, Ron, Herm) have to go back to Hogwarts for, causing the HUGE battle that happens at the end of DEATHLY HALLOWS PART DEUX.

Alrighty, so we only have five Horcruxes, what to do about the other two? The other Horcrux is Nagini, Voldy’s crazy snake that’s always with him and the seventh is a humongous SPOILER, so don’t read ahead if you don’t want to know…

The last Horcrux is Harry Potter himself, and he became one because of that beautiful scar on his crazy noggin, when Voldy tried to kill him as an ickle babe! Woah, what a shocker. *smiley* Anyways, obviously they can’t pull out a CG snake for a photograph at Comic Con, nor point out Harry Potter as the seventh, so that’s why there are no pictures for the other two, but we do have the lovely Elder Wand and the Time Turner (??)… I still don’t understand that. For the TRUE fans, we know about the truth and demand you go see the movie for yourself.

Now, drool over these pictures, if you will, and start rereading the series/ watching the movies before it is too late and November is upon you like Hermione’s hair in the first movie! GO GO GO!!!
