The very first trailer for SUCKER PUNCH has popped up online and it is far more insane than I had imagined. Oh sure, I was expecting crazy, what with the teaser posters and early looks featuring bunny mechs, dragons, samurai schoolgirls and tons of hotties bound in leather. But this is far more than that, this trailer looks a bit like INCEPTION on crack by way of THE WIZARD OF OZ. Can’t wait to see more.

All true nerds and geeks have little goals in life. Some want to meet their idols, some want to be part of their favorite franchises and so forth. Some goals are big, some are moderate and some are very simple. Me? I’ve got goals, goals of various sizes, varying levels of geekiness, all of which I’m currently in the process of accomplishing.

Sounding like a bit of a broken record here, but Zack Snyder’s SUCKER PUNCH is at the top of my MUST SEE MOVIES OF 2011 list. There’s something about the concept of “ALICE IN WONDERLAND with machine guns, mechs, dragons and Emily Browning” that really speaks to me. Granted, it’s probably speaking to me in some naughty, unspeakable way, but that’s how I am. Deal.
Till then, here’s some super sweet photos from Comic-Con (courtesy of /film) of some of the props and maquettes used in the film. I wasn’t aware there was a pink bunny mech in the flick till now, but there’s one. Oh, and there’s a statuette of Browning wearing a schoolgirl outfit, hair in pigtails and she’s wielding a katana. Where exactly can I get one of those?

With all the big news and new pics of upcoming movies coming out of Comic-Con, is it wrong of me to be most excited for this bit of news concerning Zach Snyder’s SUCKER PUNCH? More correctly, is wrong of me to be super-psyched about this PIC from it?
Sorry for the lack of quality on it, but this is a scan from Entertainment Weekly, so the quality isn’t exactly the best. You’ll note the page crease that manages to cut off Abbie Cornish. But, being that this is the first pic from the flick and that this this pic does in fact rock, we’ll forgive quality issues. What I want to know is “How exactly did Snyder think this was going to get a PG-13?”.
