Director Jeff Wadlow Reveals KICK-ASS 2 Will Have A Greater Focus On Hit-Girl

In case you missed the news, KICK-ASS 2 has been officially greenlit by Universal. The flick is set to begin shooting in London this September with Jeff Wadlow (CRY WOLF) writing/directing and Matthew Vaughn (who helmed the first film) producing. Aaron Johnson and Christopher Mintz-Plasse are expected to return as Kick-Ass and Red Mist.

Last week, Wadlow used his appearance at the Kapow! Comic Convention to reveal what he’ll be bringing to the table with KICK-ASS 2 and whether or not Chloe Grace Moretz (who, thanks to her work in films such as HUGO and DARK SHADOWS, is far more in demand now than she was when she shot the first film nearly four years ago) will be returning as Hit-Girl.

HBO Promises That GAME OF THRONES Won’t Suffer The Same Fate As ROME

Any of GAME OF THRONES fans out there? Yeah, I know you‘re out there. How could somebody not love this show? AngieBee and I just got through watching the first season recently (waited till the all the eps aired so we could watch them back-to-back) and we’re hooked. Hardcore hooked. I’m actually about to go and pick up all the books so we don’t have to wait to find out what happens next. I need a hit ASAP!

HBO has announced that they intend to keep THRONES running as long as George RR Martin keeps the books coming, according to Hitflix. You can click HERE to check out the whole article (which also includes some juicy tidbits BORED TO DEATH, TRUE BLOOD and CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM) but the general gist of the piece is that you don’t have to worry about THRONES being cancelled anytime soon.

Adamantium Bullet’s 20 Favorite Movies Of 2010

I’m not a fan of writing lists. I love reading lists, stuff like THE BEST MOVIES OF 2010 and the TOP TEN FILMS TO LOOK FORWARD TO IN 2011. But when it comes to writing them, I end up getting a headache.

The main problem I have is that I’ve not seen all the movies that came out this year, so writing a BEST MOVIES OF 2010 list would be incomplete if I wrote it because I haven’t seen all the movies that came out in 2010. I didn’t see THE TOWN, haven’t had a chance to see TRUE GRIT or BEST WORST MOVIE, never bothered checking out SHUTTER ISLAND, BLACK SWAN or NEVER LET ME GO and I basically avoided TOY STORY 3 and HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON. And that’s just the big films that I missed. There’s dozens of smaller ones that I’ve been meaning to watch but just haven’t gotten around to.

Thing is, this is the end of the year and this is also the slowest news week of the year. That means that a list (two of them to be exact, one for the good and one for the bad) must be written and it must be written by me…because I’m the law around these parts. So, instead of doing some half-assed BEST OF list, I’m going to do list of my favorite movies of 2010. A list that represents the best of what I got around to seeing and what I really enjoyed this year. And after this list, I’ll post one that represents the absolute shit that I’ve seen this year, but more on that in a bit.

MARK MILLAR’S DIRECTORIAL DEBUT, MIRACLE PARK, IS CLOSER THAN YOU THINK

Wasn’t aware of this, but KICK-ASS writer Mark Millar is actually working on his directorial debut as you read this. As in, he’s directing a pretty awesome-sounding little indie that is actually filming RIGHT NOW. The flick is called MIRACLE PARK and it deals with (shock!) superheroes, but don’t let me tell you about it, let the man himself sell you on it.

MARK MILLAR TEASES KICK-ASS 2: SUPERHERO GANG-FIGHTS AND A RED MIST MAKEOVER

With KICK-ASS 2 officially greenlit, writer Mark Millar has gotten the sequel talk a’rolling. In an interview with EMPIRE, Millar dropped some pretty big hints about what to expect from the new installment and how the character of Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) will be quite different now that he’s become the “big bad”.

THE LET ME IN ONE-SHEET LOOKS BLOODY GOOD

Despite running into a few release snags (original distributor Overture closed it‘s doors recently, Anchor Bay is said to be handling it now), the LET ME IN promo train is running full steam ahead. Just check out the poster below and tell me that isn’t a thing of beautiful. Sure, it might inspire some creepy feelings, what with Hit Girl…er, I mean Chloe Moretz lying in a heart-shaped pool of blood, but isn’t it gorgeous? This is the way that teaser posters should be, as opposed to the popular “floating heads” method.
