C.O.O.L: Kristen Stewart And Charlize Theron Go Goth Glam For INTERVIEW

I like Kristen Stewart. Like her movies, like her acting, like her look. I know most folks, for whatever reason, think she’s the worst f**king actress in the world but I could care less. This is my site and I dig her. Any chance to post pics of her is one worth taking. Especially when those pics are of her and the lovely Charlize Theron getting all dark and gothy for INTERVIEW

Kristen Stewart Offered Female Lead In Jaume Collet-Serra’s AKIRA Reboot

Twitch is reporting that Kristen Stewart has been offered the female lead in Jaume Collet-Serra’s upcoming remake of AKIRA. TETSU-NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Here’s the scoop: Twitch was the first to bring word of Gary Oldman, Helena Bonham Carter and Garrett Hedlund being offered parts in the Warner Brothers backed US adaptation of Katsuhiro Otomo’s classic manga and now we have learned that Kristen Stewart has been offered the part of Kei, a young medium who becomes the love interest for Kaneda – the role already offered to Hedlund.

Listen, I like Stewart as an actress. I really do. Don’t care much for her work in the TWILIGHT films but outside that franchise she is quite good. Anyone who has seen THE RUNAWAYS, WELCOME TO THE RILEYS and UNDERTOW can vouch for that. But AKIRA? I don’t think so.

C.O.O.L: Kristen Stewart In Glamour

With the beginning of the end for the TWILIGHT film series just around the corner, Kristen Stewart has been doing the photoshoot thing and the results have been quite nice. Posted a great set (save for one) of her in the British edition of GQ last week and here’s some of her from this month’s issue of Glamour. Dig these even more the GQ ones. Gal is actually semi-smiling on the cover and they actually somehow got her to muster up a bit of cleavage and show off those sexy stems of hers.

C.O.O.L: Kristen Stewart Goes Retro For The British Edition Of GQ

Despite her mostly bland work in the TWILIGHT franchise, I’ve always kinda dug Kristen Stewart as an actress.

She’s not your average starlet. Stewart seems very intent on not being pigeonholed into any particular genre or type of role. Don’t believe me? Just check out the movies she’s done in-between her appearances as Bella Swan: the Joan Jett biopic THE RUNAWAYS, the indie drama WELCOME TO THE RILEYS, a film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s ON THE ROAD and the “coming of age” pic ADVENTURELAND. All solid films and she’s good in every one of them. Or, at least, I think she’s good in them. You might disagree. This isn’t really the point of this piece.

The point is to post some pics of Stewart from the British edition of GQ. First three pics (like the red dress) ain’t too bad. Definitely not hip to the old-school swimsuit, but I guess it would be too much to ask to see her in say …the Venus suit from DEAD OR ALIVE? Gal has to stay indie and edgy, so no super skin-tastic pics from her.

SDCC 2010: First Look At Kristen Stewart And Chris Hemsworth In SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN

The San Diego Comic Con went down last weekend. Didn’t attend as I live in the middle of Illinois and don’t have a few thousand dollars in disposable income just lying around. I did read about it extensively and through that process have extracted the coolest bits of info that I thought you might enjoy (or ridicule).

First up is a four pack of pics from Joe Roth’s upcoming reboot of the Snow White tale titled SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN. Yes, you read that right, a reboot of Snow White. There’s actually two reboots of this particular property in the works at the moment– this one and one over at Relativity titled THE BROTHERS GRIMM: SNOW WHITE. That’s alot of action for a property that wasn’t exactly screaming for a redo.

The main difference between the two is that HUNTSMAN is going to be a start of trilogy of movies that will feature Kristen Stewart as Snow who’s going going to more warrior and less princess…and it’s going to be dark and gritty…bit like LORD OF THE RINGS…but with Chris Hemsworth as the prince who really isn’t a prince but a huntsman but there‘s actually a prince and he‘s played by Sam Claflin but that doesn’t matter because we all know that White is going to end up with Thor…and did I mention that Charlize Theron is playing the Wicked Queen? Long story short, SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN sounds f**king awful. Can’t wait to see it.

Film Bites: First Peek At BREAKING DAWN Delivers More Of The Same

I always get shit for saying this, but I actually dig the TWILIGHT movies. Note I said the movies and not the books because I haven’t read the books and don’t I ever really intend to. Own ‘em though. Mostly because I bought them for AngieBee a couple years back and she plowed through all four in the space of three days. Pretty impressive, actually. Little scary, but impressive.

Anyways, back to the TWILIGHT movies. The first trailer for BREAKING DAWN is up and it’s…unimpressive. Outside out a more expansive scope (Vampires in Rio?) and a couple of fleeting hints at the insanity to come (Edward needs to seriously chill the f**k out during sex and was that a brief moment of Bella’s vamp baby attempting to chew its way out of her womb?), this is standard TWILIGHT stuff. Taylor Lautner takes his shirt off, Kristen Stewart chews on her lip, Robert Pattinson counts the moments till he’s out of the franchise, Billy Burke glowers, Michael Sheen wonders what the hell he’s doing in a TWILIGHT movie, etc. Summit doesn’t even seem to be trying with this trailer. Guess they figure the fanbase is already there, so why bother wasting time cutting a decent trailer? Hell, I guess I should be happy they didn’t just slap a title and a date on this (much like they did with the teaser poster) and call it a day.

Posterized: Summit Heads Into The Woods To Promote BREAKING DAWN

Trees. That’s what Summit decided to slap on the first teaser poster for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN PART 1. Not a shot of Edward Cullen’s (Robert Pattinson) dreamy hair, not a close-up of Jacob’s (Taylor Lautner) rock-hard abs, not a still of Bella (Kristen Stewart) biting her lip, but a static shot of trees. Ooooh…exciting. I can’t quite figure out if this is genius, boring or just plain lazy. You decide.

Theatrical Review: THE TWILIGHT SAGA – ECLIPSE (2010)

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE is everything that your expecting and nothing that your not. That’s really the easiest way to sum this one up without angering either the people who hate the series or the Twi-Hards. Something else that should be noted is that I actually don’t hate the TWILIGHT series. Sure, the first flick isn’t that great, what with the wonky camerawork and a seriously off-kilter performance by Robert Pattinson, but I do think that NEW MOON is some kind of teenybopper romance epic.

ECLIPSE, for what it’s worth, is actually pretty good…if you’re a fan. If you’re not, there’s nothing here that will convert you and if you’re new to the series, you’ll probably be a little confused. Not severely confused, mind you, but a basic knowledge of the TWILIGHT series up until this point is required before tuning for this third installment. That having been said, Edward (Pattinson) loves Bella (Kristen Stewart), Jacob (Taylor Lautner) loves Bella, Bella kinda loves Jacob but loves Edward more and here we are. Oh, and Edward’s a vampire and Jacob is a werewolf, but I’m sure you already knew that.

K-STEW MIGHT POSSIBLY GET MARTYRED

Seems like TWILIGHT producer Wyck Godfrey must really like working with Kristen Stewart — because he’s considering her for the lead in the MARTYRS remake. Yeah, you read that right. According to Fearnet, Godfrey is planning a full-on redo of the notorious French horror pic with an American cast for an American audience, which also means that this version will be considerably toned down from the original. And who better to head up this than Stewart, who’s pretty much the all-American girl next door thanks to the TWILIGHT pics.
