Of all the mysteries left unresolved at the end of LOST, I don’t think “Who was behind the supply drops?” would have been at the top of MUST ANSWER list. But, the powers that be and the ones who made the show apparently felt otherwise and that question will be one of the many answered during the epilogue that will be included with the season 6 set of LOST. Titled “The New Man In Charge”, this 16-minute long short will wrap up some of the loose ends, including what was the deal with Walt, some details about Ben and Hurley’s run on the island and the aforementioned supply drop issue.

IO9 pointed out something very interesting that may or may not turn out to be true, but IMDB is listing the feature film version of MASS EFFECT as a future credit for Matthew Fox (LOST). Does this mean that Jack Shepard might be playing Commander Shepard? How awesome would that be? And more importantly, if true, is the world ready for something as awesome as this?

LOST fans rejoice! Two of the most annoying actors on the show (Kiele Sanchez [Nikki] and Harold Perrineau [Michael]) have teamed up to bring us a sequel to a horror flick that didn’t really warrant one! Yay for unnecessary sequels!
Okay, I‘ll try to tone down my sarcasm a little when dealing with this. While I may not have dug Sanchez or Perrineau on LOST, both are actually pretty good actors who sometimes get saddled with annoying roles. All these two need is some better material, material that doesn’t have them being completely superfluous to the overall mythos or having them scream “WALT!!!” every five minutes.

A few years back, JJ Abrams, Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindeof (the guys behind LOST amongst other things) optioned the rights to the DARK TOWER series from Stephen King. THE DARK TOWER, in case you don’t know, is a seven novel epic from King that, for the most part, is considered unfilmable. Not unfilmable in the sense that it doesn’t lend itself well to the screen (it does), but unfilmable in the sense that if it were made into a film franchise, that franchise would probably have to be twelve films long to do the series justice. If it were a television series, you’d have to air it on HBO or Showtime because it would be probably too much for network television. Realizing this and the fact that they couldn’t do right by the series, the trio turned the rights back over to King and that seemed to be end of the story.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t. With the rights back in King’s hands, another Hollywood power player made a move and secured them for himself: Ron Howard. Not only that, he’s brought his longtime partners-in-crime, producer Brian Grazer and writer Akiva Goldsman, with him.

Turns out that Roland Emmerich’s disaster pic 2012 is only the beginning. Emmerich says that an ABC TV series is on the way and will be a cross between DISTRICT 9 and LOST.
