Film Bites: Welcome To Megan Fox Island!

I have no idea what the commercial after the jump is supposed to be promoting. I looked up CCAA on Yahoo and all I could find was the California Collegiate Athletic Association, the China Center of Adoption Affairs and the Commercial Collection Agency Association. I’m pretty sure this isn’t meant for any of those organizations. If it is, kudos to them for discovering the greatest vacation destination ever.

C.O.O.L: Megan Fox Does Elle China

Double C.O.O.L (Current Object Of Lust) dose today due to the fact that my T.G.I.F review of DEATH WISH 3 isn’t quite up to snuff yet. Guess that will have to wait till next week and you’ll just have to enjoy these pics of Megan Fox from this month’s issue of Elle China. A few are official pics, some are outtakes, all are hot. Seriously, your computer screen might actually melt if you check these pics out. No joke. MELT. Be prepared to deal with that if click on the pic to check her out…

God Help Us All, Megan Fox And Lindsay Lohan Are Circling The CARRIE Reboot

Showbiz Spy is reporting that Megan Fox is desperately wants to play the lead in Screen Gems upcoming remake of CARRIE. This comes hot on the heels of the news that Lindsay Lohan, who apparently didn’t realize that Stephen King was joking when he suggested her for CARRIE 2.O, is also desperate to play everybody’s favorite telekinetic teen.

This is usually the point where I reprint some pull quote from the original article and then make a few pithy comments about said quote, but I’m not going to do that today. No, I’m going to take the high road and not injure your eyeballs with the quotes about how these two love the source material and think they are perfect for the role of Carrie White. Don’t need to waste your time with that, do I? You and I both know that you are a perfectly rational human being. And being that you are perfectly rational, I don’t need to tell you that neither of these actresses are right for this role. Nor do I need to tell you that they shouldn’t be allowed within a thousand feet of a CARRIE reboot. You know this, I know this and any studio with half a lick of sense knows this.

Now, I personally don’t think Megan Fox is all that bad of an actress. No kidding. I actually like her style and I think that she’s pretty good in most of the stuff she’s done. But CARRIE? No. Gal can’t pull it off. Too pretty, too cheerleader-y, too….well, too much. Plus, didn’t she already get the whole “teen supernatural killer” thing out of her system with JENNIFER’S BODY? Long story short, Fox doesn’t need to retread the same ground twice. BODY didn’t do well with folks and I’m pretty sure a CARRIE redo with her in the lead won’t either.

31 DAYS OF HORROR: Jennifer’s Body (2009)

For the next 31 days, we here at Adamantium Bullet will be reviewing a different horror flick daily leading up to Halloween. Some of the movies will be classics, some will not. Some will be slashers while others might be old-school monster movies. Some might be the most obscure of the obscure, while others will be the most popular fare you can find. Every one of them, however, will be horrific, terrifying, chilling, pulse-pounding, and maybe, just occasionally, not very good. All in honor of Halloween. Expect some moderate spoilers. Welcome to Adamantium Bullet’s 31 DAYS OF HORROR: PART 2.

Today, J checks out the “unrated” cut of the most underrated film of last year, JENNIFER’S BODY. Click on the pic to read more…

MEGAN FOX SPREADS HER WINGS FOR ROURKE

Straight up, I dig Megan Fox. I like her look, her acting and I’ve been pretty happy with the career choices that she has made so far (and yes, I actually was one of the few people who enjoyed JONAH HEX). However, that is my opinion and my opinion doesn’t necessarily match the opinion of the press or today’s audiences. More correctly, people really seem to hate Fox. Hate her with the fire of a thousand suns, to be exact.

That is why is saddens me that a unique flick like PASSION PLAY is probably going to slip through the cracks. Premiering at the Toronto International Film Fest this weekend, PLAY is about an angel (Fox) who is sort-of being held captive by a gangster (Bill Murray) and she strikes up a relationship with a down-on-his-luck trumpet player (Mickey Rourke). Special thanks to Cinematical for that plot description, because up until I read it, I knew nothing about this flick other than it had those three in it and Fox was playing an angel. After reading it and seeing this clip, PLAY is definitely now on my radar.

MEGAN FOX WANTS IN ON THE GEN 13 MOVIE

Even though JONAH HEX tanked at the box office, Megan Fox apparently hasn’t had her fill of comic-based movies just yet. According to Screen Rant, Fox would love to play Rainmaker in a GEN 13 movie if one is ever made. No studios are currently working on a GEN 13 flick, so chock this one up to wishful thinking really.

THE #1 REASON TO SEE JONAH HEX

Love her or hate her, you can’t deny that Megan Fox is looking pretty foxy (excuse the pun) in HEX. Of course, there is the whole matter of JONAH HEX only being 79 minutes long, but don’t let that dissuade you from hitting the theater and showing your support for this lovely young lass.

TRANSFORMERS 3 VILLAIN WILL BE SHOCKING, LESS SHOCKING IS THE ADDITION OF 3D

Is it just me or was I the only person on the planet who actually liked TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN? Yeah, I realize that it isn’t some award-winning masterpiece of cinema and that it’ll never gather any acclaim for subtle characterizations, but the recent hate parade on this flick is pretty ridiculous (especially considering it grossed 836mil worldwide). As if the largely negative reviews weren’t bad enough, now the cast and crew have taken to ripping the movie apart. First came Shia LaBeouf’s saying that he hates the movie (which, to be honest, is pretty rough considering it was the last film he had hit theaters), then came Megan Fox’s remarks that the movie was confusing and now even director Michael Bay is admitting that he thought the movie sucked. WTF?

Ranting aside, click on the above pic for the ton o’ info about TRANSFORMERS 3…
